Elmo Cake with Custom Cake Box

Here is my latest cake using my Cricut Cake and MMF. I used a SVG file and MMF for the fondant Elmo on top of the cake and Sesame Street Cricut Cartridge for the Elmo on the Box.  The box is a SVG file I created awhile back that opens in the front making it easy to slide the cake out.

I made a HUGE mistake on this cake and once I discovered it I felt horrible - - Joanna is 6 years old not 9... I knew that in making the cake but didn't pay much attention when I added the 6/9 to the cake... ugh! Attention to detail Tee... Thankfully, my customer could easily remove the age and flip it around and she didn't seem upset at all... whew!

    1. MMF is Marshmallow Fondant, home made Fondant. Much less expensive than buying it. The smooth lines on my cutouts? I roll my fondant out on the cricut mat then place in the freezer for about 2 or 3 mins. I then cut the image out using a medium speed. Pop back in the freezer (it has been in the 90's here) for another min then remove it from the mat. I sometimes will get a rough edge but it can be brushed out by taking a small paint brush, adding a little water and brush it smooth.

Our Design Team has come up with some fabulous projects and we have a little bit of everything, from cards to gift ideas, and home décor items. So we invite you to hop along with us and get your creative juices flowing! For my project I went to the 99cent store and found this frame, but it was white. I first panted it black then glued the glass into the frame with e6000.  I then took some ribbon and some graphic 45 papers and glued them to the frame - just love how it turned out. The word December was cut using vinyl and the December 25th new cricut cartridge...  **Special Request**  I would asked if I would make a svg file that is similar to the one used here - I didn't make it exact because of copyright laws.   You ca

White on White

This month Lorby's World of Hops has challenged this talented crafters by asking them to create something that is white on white with a touch of color. I know you will be as pleasantly surprised to see what they have come up with. There is so much talent here that I know they have risen to the occasion and have some wonderful projects to share. So please begin at Lorby's World since she is our hostess and has a give away going on with this hop. She has all the details on her blog. I (Tee) am a guest hostess and am offering a give away from The Cutting Cafe who is our sponsor this month to one lucky person who leaves a comment below.   Please visit The Cutting Cafe to see all their beautiful printable and cutting files. Now let's begin this hop. For my project I embossed two pieces of white paper. I fuzzy cut some of the embossed pieces and used pop dots to give it a POP. I placed is a very thin pink border (for my splash of color), added a white ribbon, a
