Baby Shower Banner

TGIF!! This has been one long week but my work week ended with a bang yesterday..... Let me explain. Last week we got a call asking if we could help make a banner for a Baby Shower based on a banner he (yes, I said he) saw on Etsy (you can see it " here "). I told him over the phone that I could. After I saw the banner on Etsy I asked him if I could take some creative direction with his banner.  I knew it was for a baby shower and the theme was butterflies - elegant with a rose pink, sage green and cream. I asked his budget and we agreed on about $25 dollars (he provided the rose paper from another store). BIGGEST compliment - He loved it so much that instead of paying the $25 he paid $30 - MADE my day! PLUS, I had the banner on the craft table at the store and got TWO other customers hire me to do banners for them as well.... I love it when a customer puts their trust in me.... What's sad is these pictures do NOT show how elegant and beautiful this banner is i...

Cupcake Holder - Sweet Tooth Cricut Cartridge

Hi Everyone and Happy Monday - I needed to do a project for my LSS to each this Wednesday and decided to do this cute cupcake holder from the Sweet Tooth Cricut Catridge. I have seen so many of these on Pintrest and other websites and have been wanting to do one of my own. I cut my box at 9" and added some ribbon around the rim. I then put the top in my bigshot with a cuttlebug embossing folder - added some flowers to the top cut from Flower Shoppe then finished it off with a tag from The Cutting Cafe cut with Mini Monogram. Wow, I used three cartridges on this project. I think that is a record for me. Hope you like my box and if you are local come on over to Hearts-n-Crafts on Wednesday, Feb 20th and make one of your own. ~Tee

Heart Lace Shaped Card - Dear Valentine

Hi Everyone, Happy Wednesday. This week at The Cutting Cafe I got to play with the Heart Lace Shaped Card. I love that Regina is now offering her new files in MTC format - makes it so much easier to just lick on the file and my MTC opens and it is ready to cut!!! Love you Regina!! After I opened the file in MTC I choose to blackout the hearts and cut my card solid using the new Valentine line from Authentic (love their papers). I then added a pearl flourish, some ribbon and a flower I made using my Cricut and Flower Shoppe with a little bit of Star Dust stickles, Threw in a couple hat pins and use the Dear Valentine that was at the bottom of the paper. Hope you love it as much as I do. You can get this file by going " here " for only $1.99

Cricut Flower Shoppe Flowers - Two More! Video

Cricut Flower Shoppe Roses Tutorial

I have gotten a lot of very positive feedback on my roses made with the Flower Shoppe cartridges that I decided to make a video to walk you though making them. See the video here: I cut my flowers at 2 1/2" and inked with Tim Holtz Distressed Inks. I hope this video inspires you to make your own! If you do, please make sure you post so I can see.

Flower Shoppe (Cricut) Roses

I am offering another class at Hearts-n-Crafts on making these roses using the Cricut Flower Shoppe Cartridge... I made these using white smooth cardstock and inked each with a different color. Yellow is 2 1/2", Purple 2" and pink is 1 1/2" and by far the most difficult to make because of the size!

New flowers from Flower Shoppe

Here are some roses I made using Flower Shoppe - - I think these are my favorite so far!!! Here is how I made them.. 1) Cut 4 flowers at the size of your choice. The yellow/orange are at 2" and the pink is at 2 1/2".  Ink your edges on both sides. 2)  Using something round and cup each pedal and glue the tab to close flowers. 3)  Cut down each pedal very close to the center. 4) Take one pedal from one flower and roll into a cone. This is the center of your flower. 5) Take all the other pedals on this one flower and wrap around the center. 6) Cut the bottom off and glue to the center of the second flowers. 7) Add glue to the center of each pedal on the second flower and push into the center. Using your pedal roller pull back the top of the pedals and curl under. 8)  Pinch and curl the edges of the last two flower. 9) Glue all together alternating pedals... Now the fun begins.... Play with it until you have the look you want. ~Tee
