Wild Card 2 - Hooked on You Card

Two posts in one day? Wow! I am still playing with the Wild Card 2 Cricut cart and lots of scrap papers. I added these clear skittles to make it look like water.

Wild Card 2 - Hoot Owl Card

I recently bought the new Wild Card 2 Cricut cartridge and couldn't wait to play with it - there are so many adorable projects, too many to choices!!!  After looking through the book two or was it three time? I choose to make this owl card first using some scraps of Echo Park paper I had in my stash. Not your typical colors but didn't it turn out cute? eeekkkkk

Father's Day Card

Making masculine cards has always been a challenge for me, how about you? Father's Day, Birthday, Anniversary? I plan on giving this card to Robert (from Chloe) on Father's Day. The tie was made using Wrap It Up cartridge and the shirt I used George.

Hello Kitty Projects

I have been playing with my Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge for my design team and my weekly make-n-take.  I first made this car out of the Echo Park Happy Days for my design team at Cutter Creek. See below

I cut out the Hello Kitty imagine using black cardstock at 5”, repeated using the blackout feature in both black cardstock and Retro patterned paper. I then cut the inside of the car and wheels using Bottle Caps patterned paper . Hello Kitty, her bow, steering wheel, inside of the wheels is cut with cardstock. I used a rhinestone for the headlight and stickles on her bow and the lines on the pink patterned paper (Bottle Caps).
I wanted my car to be 3D so I could add a gift before I gave it to my niece. To do that, I cut a piece of black cardstock at 9x4 – scored using my Scor Buddy at an ½” on each side and scored at 2” and 7” as seen in this picture. I then cut notches to make it easier to fold.
I folded the box and glued with Scotch Quick Dry in place as you see here.
I glued the black of the car on lining the black cardstock up just above the wheels. Then I glued on the front panel.
Hello Kitty’s car needed a license plate so I used the tab HELLO and the black letters KITTY from the Alpha Stickers that come in the Happy Days collection then added a bow for to finish it off.
I then made this one for my weekly make-n-take at Hearts-n-Crafts

Hope you liked my Hello Kitty project and bring you a Happy Day.

Cricut Flower Shoppe - Flowers

For the last several weeks I have been playing with the Flower Shoppe cartridge trying to come up with 10 unique flowers for a class I am doing. I am so happy with the results.

I am writing up directions for each flower and will post later.

DT Project for SVGAttic - Father's Day Card

Is it too early to do father's day cards? :)  I came across this file, Cards for Dad, at SVG Attic and knew it would be a perfect card for my Dad who has really been there for me during the last year. I don't think I am going to wait until Father's day to send it - it is a great everyday card as well.
