One Scrap at a Time

Quite a while ago I saw the cutest 3D Flip Flop SVG file for free and just fell in love with it but wanted to see if I could make it use my Cricut and Cartridges. I first used the Cricut Craftroom to edit the flip flop from Life is a Beach and hid the contours on the top of the flip flop. I then added a rectangle from Plantin SchoolBook for the straps... I transferred the file to my gypsy and TADA... Here is what I came up with.

This is my latest project for Hearts-n-Crafts scheduled for June 19th.... I picked up the frame, jar and wine from a discount store. I love turning inexpensive items into home decor. I had a customer ask me to make a Scarecrow using the Shopping Bag on TBBC cartridge. This is what I came up with - everyone loved it! Another sold out successful class. Eyes, nose, cheeks and flower are from Plantin Schoolbook.

I cut the flower out of Paisley (page 41) at 3.5" three times. I used a tooth pick to score the petals. The center of the flower was cut at 1.5, 1.25 and 1" and curled with a tooth pick. I love how this turned out.

Let me start by saying that I work with a great group of ladies who helped me put 24 of these cute Mini Cup Cake boxes together. A BIG Thank you to Heather, Merci, Cathy, Tram and Debbie! The box is made in Design Studio using Plantin Schoolbook, the scallop is Mini Monograms and the Pink Elephant is from New Arrival. Heather had the idea of using up or scraps to make Thank you cards for Shweta (the co-worker the baby shower was for). Great Idea Heather!!
