Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays to craft. I love pink, red and animal prints and what better excuse than to make up valentine cards for my family. This project is made using Valentine Elements from SVTAttic, stamps from my stash, some pearls and of course some stickles. I also just had to make some roses using the Be Mine kit because I am obsessed with these flowers.

Rock Princess & Action Wobbles

I made this card using Rock Princess cartridge and used an Action Wobble behind the skull head. Super cute! Now, who should I give this card to?

The rose is also available in the Yours Truly collection. I have to say, I love this rose - it is one of the realistic rose I have seen made out of paper so far.

Dora the Explorer & Deigo Cake

I have been looking forward to making this cake for my good friend Tram for her son's 3rd birthday. She sent me a picture of what she had in mind and this is my version of it.

After several unsuccessful attempts at making Dora and Deigo out of chocolate transfers I decided to cut cut them out with my cricut using MTC.

The bottom layer is chocolate with ganache and top layer is butter yellow with lemon filling.

SVGAttic - Be Mine

SVGAttic released their newest file this week called Be Mine. I fell in love with the card and knew I had the perfect Basic Grey paper to go with it. I did modify the file slightly by making an shadow on panel 1 so I would have a black layer and a leopard layer. I also added a black shadow to the LOVE word and cut out the V in the red version of LOVE.

I love how this turned out just wish I could of gotten a better picture of it.

Pink, Black & White Birthday Cake

I got a text from an old co-worker asking if I would make the cake for her birthday - her only request was something PINK - EASY since Pink is also my favorite color. I had so much fun making this cake. I hope she loves it!! I made MMF for this cake. The white wasn't white enough so I added white gel coloring.

I also decided to use this as an opportunity to play with some recipes. I made a vanilla milk chocolate cake with coffee instead of water, filling was a vanilla bean butter cream and I added crystal sugar to the filling for crunch - not sure how that will play out. Can't wait to get some feed back.

100 Cupcake Boxes - Prototype

My girlfriend asked me to make her 100 cupcake boxes for her daughter's first birthday. I found to be more of a challenge than I expected, one was the short amount of time I had to make them and finding enough paper and ribbon in stock to get them made in time.

This is my prototype - I plan on adding some rhinestones to bling this out!

I am also making the cake for the party. Will post more pictures later! :)

Here is my latest cake made for my great nephew's 1st birthday. I didn't have much time to spend on this cake with the passing of Grandma Vicky this week. It is fairly simple. I used my Cricut Cake to cut out the Mickey head and the stars.

I have seen so many beautiful 3-D SVG projects online lately, bought many of them but found I needed to get back to my roots of using my collection of cricut cartridges more often. This heart is my "prototype" for a class I want to do for February. ~~Maybe, I will make a video on how to make it as well~~

Happy Birthday Roxy - Hello Kitty Cake

My beautiful sister-in-law, Roxann, gave me the honor of making the cake for her birthday. Her request was Hello Kitty with animal print or damask and of course red velvet. I used my Cricut Cake and Wilton's Sugar Sheets to cut out Hello Kitty - I loved how it turned out, however, was a little sad to cut it. So, I made a custom cake box that she could keep after the cake was gone.

Mini Monsters Door Hanger

I saw a door hanger like this someone online (sorry I can't give you credit for the inspiration). I made the sample while at the store where I volunteer and before the end of the night I had sold 24 kits, all I had paper for. So, instead of ending it there - I grabbed different paper and sold another 24. I am so blessed to have such amazing customers.

3-D Daisy on Plantin Schookbook - Yup!

I cut the flower out of Paisley (page 41) at 3.5" three times. I used a tooth pick to score the petals. The center of the flower was cut at 1.5, 1.25 and 1" and curled with a tooth pick. I love how this turned out.

Jay's 3rd Birthday - Pirate Cake

My niece Samara asked if I could make a Pirate cake for my great nephew, Jayden, who is turning three today. The cake is coconut with fresh pineapple filing.

I cut the Pirate using my Cricut Cake and Indie Art. The boat was cut by hand. This was my first time using Duff fondant. The red and black were very nice to work with but the white was almost translucent. I added brilliant white gel color get the white you see here.

I love how it turned out and so did the birthday boy. At the end of the day, that's all that matters.

This past weekend was my nephew's 8th birthday and I had the pleasure of making his cake. Wilton had just come out with a new product called Sugar Sheets and I couldn't wait to try them with my Cricut. The blue is marshmallow fondant as are the stars. Everything else was cut using Wilton's Sugar Sheets.

Trendy Tool Tote - Happy Birthday Heather

Have you seen “My Time Made Easy” templates? I stumbled upon this cute Trendy Tool Tote last week and couldn’t wait for an excuse to make something out of it. Thankfully, I didn’t need to wait long because tomorrow is my friend Heather’s birthday. Nestled inside are 7 little caffeinated shots I found at the local liquor store in hopes she can have a few and relax on her trip to the river in July.

I made this at my sample to see how to put it together, however, I feel so in love with it that I ended up giving it to her instead of making another. Next time, I plan to use a much thicker cardstock.

Happy Birthday Heather – just don’t enjoy the shots too much without me.

Big Hat Bridal Brunch - Party Favors

Don’t you just love Bridal Parties? My cousin is getting married and asked if I could make the party favors for her Big Hat Bridal Brunch in hot pink and black. I couldn’t resist doing these cute little purses from the Cricut TBBM..

Also, here is the card I made for the soon to be bride’s gift. Made with Cricut Wild Card - Inside of the card says "Coupon" Redeem for a Bridal Scrapbook. Now, to get pictures of the brunch and turn it into a 6x6 mini album. Oh I can’t wait!

I saw these cute little purses on another blog (sorry I can’t give you credit, I’ve lost your site) and fell in love with them. These come together so quickly. Baby Shower Party Favors

I love babies!! When I found out one of the ladies at work with was having a baby, I got so super excited with the idea of making cute baby shower party favors. First task was to get the help of co-workers. With the their help we made 45 of these cute little piggy cup cake holders (cut with Design Studio and Cricut) and with the left over paper we made 50 matching "thank you" cards for the Mother. These were even cutier in person.

Everyone was talking about the really cute mailboxes at Target in the dollar section. I went to two different Target's and couldn't find one - so I decided to make my own out of paper. I found this great template at My Time Made Easy. I downloaded the template and turned it into a cut using Make The Cut. I love how it turned out.

Scrapals Week 4, 2010 Callenge - Finish what you Started

Hi All - can you believe we are already at week 4? This week I challenge you to finish something you started. It could be a project you started and set aside, using a kit you purchased with something in mind and never did, it could even be paper you bought with something special in mind and never used. This week you will get 5 points for each project you finish for a max of 3 projects (or 15 points). Finishing cards will be worth 2 points so you can finish 8 cards to get your 15 points.

Below is a mini album the shape of a purse I started OVER a year ago and just finished this week. I plan to give it to my niece for her Birthday in March and let her pick out her own pictures. I have SO many unfinished projects so don't be surprised if you see this challenge again in the future.

Purse Gift Card Holder using Make the Cut software

When I first saw the purse gift card holder Dawn at Stampin Up, made with the Big Shot Top Note die cut, I knew I had to lift this project. I decided to make a more playful topper to use up some left over birthday paper and it was an opportunity to play with the new software I bought called "Make The Cut". This is a simple candy bar wrapper made to fit a standard size Hershey bar. The baby and Thank you are from Cricut's New Arrival Cart and I used the bubble embossing folder on the cardstock to give it texture.

My 2010 New Years Resolution was to begin to downsize my house to make room for my Mother In Law and her caregiver who we plan to move in within the next 6 to 12 months. Scrapals - Week 1 Challenge

This weeks challenge is to learn to make a Tri Fold Shutter Card. When I first saw this card I thought it would be difficult to make. I watched the video and realized it is only 4 scores, two cuts then decorate. Quite easy after all. You can find written instructions and a video by going to SplitCoastStampers

I first made the first card for Robert's birthday in October with the help of my Cricut and the Paper Pups cart. The second card I thew today to have something new to share. Everything on the flowered card was hand cut and inked.

This challenge is for 3 points per card (for a max of three cards to go towards challenge).

Baby Shower Favors

Let me start by saying that I work with a great group of ladies who helped me put 24 of these cute Mini Cup Cake boxes together. A BIG Thank you to Heather, Merci, Cathy, Tram and Debbie!

The box is made in Design Studio using Plantin Schoolbook, the scallop is Mini Monograms and the Pink Elephant is from New Arrival.

Heather had the idea of using up or scraps to make Thank you cards for Shweta (the co-worker the baby shower was for). Great Idea Heather!!
